![]() I found that working in portrait mode and printing in landscape mode as you suggested did help, I mean it was a much better way of working it out! But I've tried a lot of different paper sizes and printing options, including this one that you suggested now, and it just doesn't want to work out. The only thing I have to do is work in slightly larger font sizes than I would normally to cater for the shrinking.) I work in A4 and get two rotated and scaled A5 pages per Landscape A4 sheet at print time. (It does work - I use it all the time, although with metric sizes. TheGurkha wrote:You have to have worked in portrait mode, but print in Landscape mode. I'd appreciate help as SOON as possible! Thanks and God bless! So first, is there ANY way to change the page size while keeping text and everything anchored, just scaling it down automatically? And, is 8.5x5.5 the right size for sure in OpenOffice? But when I change the page size, text size and photos and all remain the same, which results in a very messed-up booklet with way too many pages and not anywhere NEAR the correct formatting. So my new printing company told me to just change the page size in my program to 8.5x5.5's and it will automatically scale down the page INCLUDING all the text, photos, etc. So the print-out has totally wrong margins, lots of wasted space, etc. It turns up a strange size, like shorter and wider than it should. It doesn't give me two 8.5x5.5's on an 8.5x11 sheet. Writer somehow doesn't work to print properly whatsoever. ! We publish a magazine ( ) and the printer who previously published our (Word) booklet issues told me I could just set up a regular 8.5x11 page and their printer would automatically make it into a booklet. I like most of its features better, but the booklets. But we don't have Word anymore and are using OO Writer now. ![]() I have been using Microsoft Word, and I really like their booklet features.
